Luke 1 & 2
Jesus’ first coming.
The world is in a mess because we have turned away from God, and his way. Although he is God, the great creator of this planet, Jesus humbled himself and became a tiny baby. Jesus came to live on earth to be at the centre of God’s rescue plan.

Luke 23 & 24
Jesus dies and lives again
Jesus is the focus of God’s mega plan to rescue us and make us friends with God. On the cross he takes our place and bears the consequences of our sin. Yet God is more powerful than death. Jesus comes alive again. God is in control.

Acts 1:3-11
Jesus promises the Holy Spirit
Jesus leaves our planet and returns to heaven. Before he goes he promises to send the Holy Spirit, who will come to help and empower his followers to continue Jesus’ work on earth.

Acts 8: 4 – 8, 26 – 40
Philip tells others about Jesus
The children will study the biblical example of Philip as one disciple who went and told the good news to the Samaritans. God’s mega plan involves taking the good news about Jesus all over the world. God has sent us his Spirit to guide and help us.

2 Peter 3: 8 – 13
Go and Live it!
Jesus is coming back to this planet one day. Although we don’t know when, he expects us to be ready for him. To be ready means turning from sin, living in a way that God is pleased with, and sharing with others the good news of God’s mega plan.

Revelation 21: 1 – 7; 21: 22 – 22: 2
New heaven and earth
God’s mega plan comes to a climax when Jesus returns to gather his pople to live with him forever in the new heaven and earth he has promised. Christians can look forward to a place where we will never be sad, sick, or sinful.
