Biblical Theme: The Apostle Peter
Peter the fisherman came to know Jesus and was changed forever. Jesus offered him a whole new way of living that was out of the ordinary. In this unit children will hear Jesus calling them to follow him. They will discover from the Bible what Jesus wants to do in them and through them. We trust that like Peter, they will become totally hooked on Jesus.

Stylistic Theme: Water world
Peter and Jesus spent a lot of time close to water and boats. The activities and video themes are based on beaches, fishing, and all sorts of water creatures. Youll have lots of fun and learning as you hear fish talk, enjoy the fishy buzz words, hear stories told from under water and lots more!

Mission Weeks 1-3

Week 1 : Totally hooked on Jesus

Luke 5:1-11
Peter leaves a huge catch of fish to become Jesus' disciple. It was to be a new life and purpose. Peter also comes and calls children to be his friends.

Week 2 : Peter walks on the wild side

Matthew 14:22-33
Peter attempts to walk on water and learns a lesson on faith. Like Peter, Jesus calls us to completely rely on Him at all times.

Week 3 : Denial and Restoration of Peter

Luke 22:54-62; John 21:1-9
Even though Peter denied knowing Jesus, he was given a chance to start again. Children will know that Jesus never stops being their friend.



Discipling Weeks 4-6

Week 4 : Teamwork - The Healed Beggar

Acts 3:1-10
Peter gave the beggar something far better than money: the ability to walk. When we walk with Jesus, God can use us to change lives and point others to Him.

Week 5 : Telling All

Acts 10:1-48
Peter discovered that God has a big plan for the world - the gospel is for everyone.

Week 6 : The Great Escape

Acts 12:1-19a
Peter discovered that God was looking after him even while in prison. Being a follower of Jesus is not always easy for children, but God is always close to them.
