Biblical Theme: God the Father
Can children really get to personally know the Creator of time and eternity, and this universe? Yes! Stylistic Theme: The backyard shed
The setting for this unit is 'the shed' - that place where grandfather has his workbench and tools, tinkers about repairing and making all sorts of things. It is also where Timothy, his grandson, loves to explore its secrets. In 'the shed', relationships are nurtured and wisdom is passed down from one generation to another.

Mission Weeks 1-3

Week 1 : We are important to Father God

Psalm 139
God takes a personal interest in us from the time of our conception. He knows what we think and feel, our motives and dependence on him. He has a personal, detailed knowledge of what is going on in our world. He is concerned for our total wellbeing.

Week 2 : Father God is in charge

Luke 20:9-19
God’s creation of his world and all people in it, requires that we acknowledge Jesus’ authority over our lives and live accordingly.

Week 3 : Father God isn't mad at me!

Luke 15:11-32
This story shows how far God will go to show his great love for us. Celebration is the only proper response when we return to him.



Discipling Weeks 4-6

Week 4 : God is for me!

Luke 18:1-8
God is on our side, especially when life seems unjust. He is concerned for our situation and needs, listens when we talk to him, and moves quickly to help us.

Week 5 : God is merciful and just

Matthew 18:21-35
Jesus teaches that we must forgive someone who wrongs us, an unlimited number of times, because God does the same for us. We are to treat others the way God treats us.

Week 6 : God wants us at his party

Luke 14:15-24
God values us so much that he invites us and anyone who wishes to come to share in the good things that God has in store for us. The Kingdom party is a celebration of God’s presence and love through eternity for those who say yes to his invitation.
