Mission Weeks 1-2

Week 1 : "Wrong Way, Paul!" - Paul: Enemy of Jesus

Acts 9: 1 - 9
Paul is badly mistaken in trying to stamp out Christians. Jesus in his kindness stops Paul in his tracks. The children will be challenged to think about their relationship with Jesus.

Week 2 : "God's Good Guy Now" - Paul: Changed by Jesus

Acts 9: 10 - 25
Paul became a new person when he met the Lord, and was commissioned by God to share the good news about Jesus. When we join God's side we also have our part in sharing the message of Jesus.

Discipling Weeks 3-6

Week 3 : "Close call for Paul!" - Paul & Barnabas in Lystra

Acts 14: 8 - 20
Paul's determination to tell others about Jesus nearly cost him his life. Let's hang in there for Jesus in all situations. Our prayers too can help those who are telling others about Jesus to stay committed to their task.

Week 4 : "Seize the Moment!" - Paul & Silas in Prison

Acts 16: 16 - 40
Even earthquakes didn't stop Paul. He is an inspiring model of a Christian missionary. The God who gave Paul courage is here to help us to take opportunities for Jesus, even when it is difficult.

Week 5 : "It's Team Work" - Paul encourages his team

Acts 20: 1 - 6; 1 Thess.1: 1 - 8
Paul's team worked together, linked by their faith in Jesus. We too are part of the team of Christians where we live, all with different ministries.

Week 6 : "Budget trip to Rome" - Paul a prisoner to Rome

Acts 21 to 28
Paul's arrest in Jerusalem and subsequent journey to Rome (including imprisonment for 2 years, a shipwreck and continuing house arrest) did not stop Paul from sharing his message of Jesus. There was a tremendous personal cost to him. The children will be challenged to take the message of Jesus to the world.
